Child and Family Therapist

Ray Medhora

The founder of Ray’s Room, Ray Medhora works primarily with Children and Families and has been practicing for close to 15 years in Sydney’s lower North Shore.

Ray also works with all presentations from individuals seeking therapy for depression and anxiety, to couples trying to work through issues together and to families trying to have more peace at home.

Ray has developed a specialisation working with post-separated families in high conflict and trains the psychological community in the same. Ray has also specialised in working with children and young people, having honed skills working with the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court.

Ray makes use of the enneagram in his work with individuals and couples.

Ai Kokunugi

Ai is a dedicated social worker, originally from Japan and trained in the U.S.  Since 1999, Ai has worked in various settings including residential and day treatment facilities, schools, hospital, and community mental health agencies.  

Ai specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families.  Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, cross-cultural adjustment issues, relationship issues, trauma, behavioral issues, autism and other  neurodevelopmental disorders, and parenting. 

Ai embraces diversity and creates a safe and accepting space for all clients.  Ai believes that parent-child relationship is the most important relationship.

Christine Borg

In her many years as a therapist, Chris has worked with a diverse range of people across a number of clinical settings, including post-separation, young offenders, child protection, education and other abilities.

An empathic, warm and committed therapist, Chris brings a creative and calming energy to her sessions. Focussing on a person centred, strengths based approach, Chris seeks to incorporate her skills in art and experiential modalities in supporting children, young people and families to work through difficulties and challenges.

Within the therapeutic space, Chris’ goal is to facilitate an open, trusting and safe
relationship to support person’s capacity for self-awareness, decision-making, resilience and integrity.

Madeleine Thesseling

Madeleine is a qualified counsellor with a decade of experience working with children & young people, parents and individuals.

Madeleine divides her time between family and parenting therapy, and working with children and young people as a school counsellor. Madeleine works to achieve client goals within a safe and authentic support setting and has a natural flare empahtising and problem solving. Over the years, Madeleine has developed a passion for supporting families during their time of greatest need.

Tulsi Van De Graaff

Tulsi works with families, individuals and children and specialises in couple therapy using an Emotionally Focused Therapy approach.

She is a trained relationship counsellor and a nationally accredited mediator and also works with broken teams to find their way back to productive and positive relationships.

Tulsi has many years of experience working with people experiencing communication and conflict challenges, disconnection, and relationships that have broken down. She is also an experienced coach, and pre-marriage counsellor and was a child protection investigator and conciliator of discrimination complaints at the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Tulsi brings acceptance, empathy and warmth to her sessions, creating a safe and supportive space. Tulsi is committed to this work recognising that connection and relationships are at the heart of our wellbeing.
