ABOUT
Specialty and Therapeutic Expertise:
Ray specializes in child and family counselling, with a wealth of experience as a fully qualified relationship counsellor. The distinct nuances of working with children necessitate specialized training and oversight, areas in which Ray has accumulated a decade of expertise. His extensive background covers a broad range of presentations, such as addressing the unique challenges of youths from separated families, managing anxiety, addressing suicidal ideation, dealing with disabilities and caregiver-specific themes, and engaging with juvenile justice cases.
Family Therapy:
Ray’s training encompasses a breadth of family dynamics, enabling him to engage with families from diverse backgrounds and address an array of concerns. Family therapy, in Ray’s view, offers a potent avenue for mutual understanding, enhanced communication, and collaborative resolution of familial issues.
Trauma Processing:
Ray’s proficiency extends to trauma processing, an integral aspect of his therapeutic practice. Employing techniques like Exposure Therapy and Tapping, Ray empowers clients to navigate and process traumatic experiences, resulting in their gradual attenuation until they are no longer distressing or intrusive.
Enneagram Therapy:
The Enneagram is the ancient art form of understanding the human spirit. As a certified assessor and trainer, Ray is able to both help clients understand the enneagram and how it affects them as well as use the enneagram to intervene and stop negative patterns in ones life.
Children’s Trauma and Mental Health:
Employing a range of methods to support children in processing their traumatic experience, Ray has worked with kids reliving the trauma of abuse, natural disaster, exposure to violence, emotional abandonment and more.
Couples Therapy:
Having trained and practiced with couples managing a range of issues ranging from extra-marital affairs, trust lapses, addictions and high conflict, Ray has developed an ability to remain impartial while also being able to understand each persons’ perspective and position.
Empathy is the art of stepping into the shoes of another and seeing the world through their eyes. It is the key to connection and the foundation of healing.
The Practice:
Founded in 2014 as a humble solo practice, our therapy practice has since blossomed into a network of multiple locations, fuelled by a dedicated team of therapists committed to making a difference. What began as a small endeavour has grown into a beacon of support for hundreds of families who have entrusted us with their well-being. While our growth has been significant, our core values remain unchanged: every client who walks through our doors receives the same level of care and attention that has defined us from the beginning. We are humbled by the trust placed in us and proud of the impact we continue to make in the lives of those we serve.
